Philip W. Eichenholz ’78, president and CEO of NorthStar Anesthesia, writes, “I think the social aspect of college had a profound effect on me. I now manage 300 plushealth care professionals, and the organizational skills I learned in college are still very influential.” Philip and his wife, Cindy (Boston College), a homemaker, have three children.

Dr. Eichenholz graduated from Duke University School of Medicine, where he received a biomedical applications research grant. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of California of San Francisco, as well as a residency in internal medicine at Parkland Memorial Hospital, where he also performed his internship. He has been published numerous times over the past three decades in medical journals and peer review publications. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
